yeah but only career high 49 points, only time he has hit over 40 points. Duchene is getting thrown under the bus for putting up a 41 point season. Career high vs basically a career low.

I like Jenner, hes a good player but they are not on the same level.

Anderson is the most overrated CBJ player atm. This situation is pretty silly. He had a decent year, but he's a replaceable part for Columbus. Does anybody really want to place money on him meeting or exceeding this past season's stats? I sure don't. He's never going to crack the top 6 and the safer bet is on him being a bottom 3 guy who you can place on the third line when he's playing well.

I still believe, and will continue to voice this opinion, that CBJ made a massive mistake in their vegas deal trying to protect this guy. CBJ would be in a much better position now and moving forward if they had their picks and Karlsson instead of having Anderson. Unforunately, CBJ has mismanaged this badly and now has to deal with a player who thinks he's worth more than he is (partially because of the Vegas deal imho).

I've been against acquiring Duchene, but if we can package Anderson and Carlsson for Dunchene, I think I'd pull that trigger as fast as possible. Get rid of two guys whose value appears to be a little inflated atm. Sell high.

That said, I think Anderson has misplayed this situation as well. If he doesn't sign the 3 yr deal and takes the 1yr he's in the same situation next year, but with mgmt that has a sour taste in their mouth. He should've signed the 3 yr offer and gotten to camp. Now, no matter what deal he signs you have to think he'll be in the dog house with torts as well. Missing his camp isn't going to get him more playing time.
